Lovegrove Korea Photos - Week 4

Week 3

The Bible Institute classes ended this week. I wrote part of the exam from my lectures, which was translated into Korean. Here then is my first ever Korean exam. I can't read a word except I think I found my name written in Korean script. Also shown are two of my translators, Rev. Jeung and Rev. Tschu, along with Dan Wiley, one of the American teachers.

We all had seats on the subway - a rare event because we were going home during a soccer game. An unusually large number of people are staying home watching the games.

Everywhere there was a public TV, there were people watching.

Here is Mrs. Joh and her kids, whom Jocelyn and our kids spent a day with this week.

Today I ended up at the park alone as the kids skated and Jocelyn shopped. I had no lack of conversation. Kim Hyea-Lin, a high school student, and one of her classmates came and practiced their English with me for a long time. Hyea-Lin gave me her name badge and photo as a souvenir of Korea.

This electrical engineer whose name I don't know has just started his own electronics company. He was a bit surprised to meet an EE from America in the Sanbon city park. This Korean man talking to Jocelyn has a son in a state university in America.

We had a wonderful day at the Korean Folk Village with the Han family.

Jenny is our kids' favorite friend at church. Not many adults enjoy "rock-paper-scissors."

Hannah is having a great time in Korea but she is starting to miss home.
