The proofs are mostly coincidences and rumors, but the proof that convinces many people is the following set of photos.<\/p>\n<p>Photo 1 &#8211; <em>Titanic<\/em> under construction with evenly spaced portholes.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/pilgrimworks.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/Titanic-construction.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-264\" src=\"http:\/\/pilgrimworks.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/Titanic-construction.jpg\" alt=\"Titanic construction\" width=\"466\" height=\"279\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pilgrimworks.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/Titanic-construction.jpg 466w, https:\/\/pilgrimworks.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/Titanic-construction-300x180.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 466px) 100vw, 466px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/uk\/2011\/may\/31\/titanic-centenary-belfast\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/uk\/2011\/may\/31\/titanic-centenary-belfast<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Photo 2 &#8211; <em>Titanic<\/em> when it set sail, with different portholes, suggesting it is the <em>Olympic<\/em> in disguise.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/pilgrimworks.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/Titanic-launch.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-265\" src=\"http:\/\/pilgrimworks.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/Titanic-launch.jpg\" alt=\"Titanic launch\" width=\"624\" height=\"416\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pilgrimworks.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/Titanic-launch.jpg 624w, https:\/\/pilgrimworks.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/Titanic-launch-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 624px) 100vw, 624px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.csmonitor.com\/World\/Latest-News-Wires\/2011\/0531\/The-Titanic-launch-100th-anniversary-celebrated-in-Belfast\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/www.csmonitor.com\/World\/Latest-News-Wires\/2011\/0531\/The-Titanic-launch-100th-anniversary-celebrated-in-Belfast<\/a><\/p>\n<p>However, it took only a few minutes to find the following photo of the <em>Olympic<\/em> (supposedly the <em>Titanic<\/em> in disguise) from 1932, which also shows the same irregular portholes.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/pilgrimworks.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/olympic-2.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-267\" src=\"http:\/\/pilgrimworks.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/olympic-2.jpg\" alt=\"olympic 2\" width=\"719\" height=\"550\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pilgrimworks.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/olympic-2.jpg 719w, https:\/\/pilgrimworks.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/olympic-2-300x229.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 719px) 100vw, 719px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.shipsnostalgia.com\/media\/rms-olympic.455381\/\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/www.shipsnostalgia.com\/media\/rms-olympic.455381\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>So theory disproved, the two ships had identical portholes and the two photos prove nothing except that the additional portholes where added to the <em>Titanic<\/em> later in the construction. Of course diehard believers can argue that the <em>Olympic<\/em> (<em>Titanic<\/em> in disguise) was modified after the accident to match the sunken <em>Titanic<\/em> (<em>Olympic<\/em> in disguise); conspiracy theories are malleable enough to withstand any challenge.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>An old conspiracy theory holds that the Titanic was actually switched with the sister ship Olympic before it sailed on its fateful voyage in 1912.
