The Bible describes the heroes of the Christian faith as people who “…confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth” (Hebrews 11:13).<\/em><\/p>\n Pilgrim’s Progress<\/em> is recommended reading but the antiquated language can be difficult for modern readers to understand. A helpful resource for readers as well as teachers is the Teacher’s Edition published by BJU Press<\/a>.<\/p>\n We believe the Biblical mandate for all Christian people is not to withdraw from society in monk-like seclusion. Nor is it to assimilate ourselves into contemporary culture.
