Week 2

Early in our 23-hour plane ride...

Hours later, Singapore airline had gifts for the kids.

Many hours later, all the American teachers of Seoul Christian school greet us at the Seoul airport
(Beth Barth, Camilla Becker, Melody Lenox, Steve Sigmon, Dan Wiley, Ed Myers).

We are staying far out in the suburbs at the Threllfall's apartment. They live on the first floor of this high rise on the very edge of town.

The view the other direction is a typical crowded city street.

The kids enjoy a playground right by our apartment, where they are making new friends with the neighborhood kids.

Seoul Bible Church, Seoul Christian School, and Bob Jones Memorial Institute (BJMI) share the 4th floor of this building

Here is the small auditorium where services are held.

Crosses dot the Seoul skyline. Korea is 50% "Christian." Many of these churches are Presbyterian.

Life is challenging when you can't read anything.
You can tell from the picture that these are Kan-Puleks...

But what do you suppose these are?

On Monday night, a market appeared on the sidewalks around our apartment complex, with various street vendors and this small carnival ride.
